THE WARSAW UPRISING CROSS
WARSZAWSKI KRZYZ POWSTAŃCZY
The Warsaw Uprising Cross Instituted in 1981 as a word of homage for participants of 1944 Warsaw rise. Distinction has been given to active participants of Warsaw Upraise: soldiers of all the insurgent formations, members of Military Women's Service, the insurgent service of health, press and upraise information and remaining the auxiliary services as well as all persons directly supporting the Upraise. The Cross has been given to Polish citizens and to people which took part in Upraise as a polish citizens but at current moment they had other nationality. The Cross could have been given to foreigners which took part in the Upraise or has been brought the essential contribution. The Warsaw Uprising Cross could have been given also posthumously. The awarding was recognized finished in 1999 .
