Description
Up for auction is a vintage, early (possibly 1930’s) "Belknap Mts. Area NH", ski pin . The back of this pin shows that it’s old. Gunstock Mountain Resort, originally known as Belknap Mountain Recreation Area, is a sports complex located on Gunstock Mountain in Gilford, New Hampshire. Constructed by the Works Progress Administration, it was completed in 1937. From 1937- 61 it was known as Belknap. In 1962 the name was changed to Gunstock. I believe this is a transition patch and likely from the early 1960’s. It is an adhesive backed patch. Unfortunately the back is permanently stuck to the back and cannot be peeled off. If you have any questions, please ask! I usually answer them within a day. Check out my store for other vintage ski patches, ski pins, ski tickets and ski brochures.
