    1901 Series legal tender note.  The ten dollar legal tenders were issued in the 1860s and featured Abraham Lincoln.  In 1901, the series of 1901 bison notes were created.  1901 was the 100 year anniversary of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Bison notes were being printed until the early 1920s.
