    Original Polish wz 31/50 steel helmet. To my understanding these are original left-over helmet shells converted to post war use by the Poles. They were relined using German liners with leather chin straps. This is not the “Salamander” version having a smooth surface. This one is a size 56. They were eventually replaced by a new Polish design similar to the East Block nations. This one is in excellent condition with only minor storage wear. Has a stamp on the top of shell on the inside. Comes with a print-out from Wikipedia on the history of this helmet. This is a rarely seen helmet on eBay.
