The outside dimensions on the wood border are 21" x 21" and it weighs a little over six pounds.  I wish I knew the history of this but I do not.  Handwritten on back "Made by Wheeler, Dover, NH".  I have owned it for about 30 years and this dates from around 1920-30's.  I am fairly certain that this was made for display in a store or bar and this is most likely one of a kind.  Out of the 10 advertisements, 2 are from Dover, 1 probably from Exeter and rest are from Portsmouth.  I was born in Portsmouth and in my mid 70's and I do remember a couple of these places.   Way, way before Portsmouth became yuppieville, the town was loaded with bars and mostly blue collar people lived here.  The foil under the glass has bubbled especially in the center checkerboard, but the ads, for the most part, are free of this.  Please see pictures for better description.  I think this is an incredible piece of antique memorabilia from the Portsmouth area.  Please message me with any questions.  Thank you for looking.
