Up for auction is a "Page Hill Ski Tow", ski lift tow ticket. I bought this ski ticket in a “lot” with other ski tickets- the oldest being 1938 or earlier- so this ticket is most likely from the mid 1940’s.
This ski hill operated from 1929 until it closed in the late 1960’s. The CCC was said to be instrumental in the development of the area in the 1930s. William Gallagher owned the land and let the Tamworth Outing Club ski here. The Tamworth Outing Club operated the ski area until the 1950's.
