Chief,
a freshwater bass fish, with hand written script underneath each affixed semi-transparent decal on the facia of the paddles. The pair are roadside or giftshop souvenirs from the
White Mountains
of
New Hampshire
and from
Bangor, Maine,
featuring images familiar with northern
New England,
that being the image of
Native
Ame
ri
cans,
who once roamed the vase wilderness and rugged
White Mountains
of
New Hampshire
and of a freshwater bass fish, often sought by sportsmen, who come from all over, to fish the many lakes, ponds and freshwater streams of
Maine.
The paddles measure
19" in length x 2 1⁄2" in width
(at their widest point) and
weigh 1.25 ounces each.
They don't suffer any fractures, flea-bites, repairs (old or new) or signs of abuse. The lithographed transfer decals are also nearly intact. A fantastic antique artifact of early
New England
roadside motorway/giftshop memorabilia and sportsmen's camp decor. Terrific.
CONDITION:
Very Good to Excellent overall antique condition.
