VTG SYRACUSE CHINA PLATE 8 1/4” OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN TRAMWAY NEW HAMPSHIRE MID-CENTURY
This auction is for a vintage mid-century, syracuse china AERIAL TRAMWAY at OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN 8 1/4”plate. Pictured is the aerial tramway of Cannon Mountain circa June 1946 (A-66).This collectors piece is in very nice pre-owned condition with no chips or cracks. The AERIAL TRAMWAY was used early on to carry people and supplies up Cannon Mountain, including to THE OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN aka "The Great Stone Face". This iconic natural feature from New Hampshire has long been treasured by indigenous peoples, residents of the state of New Hampshire, and tourists worldwide, even after its collapse in 2003!
The awesome logo on this plate is colorful and unique, clearly back stamped, Syracuse China.
